My wife came up to me the other day 

     And looked at me in her typical way

She said “Clean the garage ‘fore you go out to play” 

     I’m warning you, now hear?

Well, I was mad and I felt that I should grouse 

     After all, was I a man or a mouse?

And she’s responsible for takin’ care of the house 

     So I strongly said, “Yes Dear”

I had the NBA playoffs on the TV 

     Watching Kobe and Shaq try to make it 3

I settled in just the game and me 

     Sippin’ on a nice cold beer.

The wife comes in and says, “Lets change the bathroom tile”

     She says, “You know we’ve had the same design for awhile,

And now it isn’t anymore in style” 

     So I boldly said, “Yes Dear”

My wife decided to cut her pain at the source 

     She got half of everything in our divorce

Also got what was left of my stuff, of course 

     She didn’t even shed a tear.

Everything started when I said “I do” 

     Her lawyer was so good she got our neighbor’s house too.

Now I have to start everything all anew 

     But at least I don’t have to say “Yes Dear”
